Do I need model experience if I want to be a shampoomodel?No, model experience is not needed. We are not professional photographers either - although producing high quality photos is very important to us.
Do I have to look like JLo or Heidi Klum to model for you?No you don't, but that would be no problem for us ;-) ok; you should have beautiful neat hair and you should be a nice person who's willing to laugh with us.
How old do I have to be at least?In principle we don't take any photos with persons under age, regardless of their parents' agreement. If you look very young you should bring your ID for the photoshooting.
Are you a model agency?We are no agency in the conventional sense, which means we don't arrange Models. However, if you should model for us we gladly provide a sedcard for you in our "Models" section which allows interested photographers to contact you directly. Neither you nor the photographer will be charged for this service.
How can a photographer get in touch with me?If desired we offer a free E-Mailaddress to you e.g. yourname @ shampoomodels.com. Prospective customers can e-mail to this address and their mails will be passeded thru to your "real" one. Thus your normal E-Mailaddress can remain unknown to the customer if you want. It's up to you how to deal with the inquiry.
Where do your photoshootings take place?If you live in the greater Hamburg area,
If you're located between Frankfurt of Hamburg, we'll simply arrange a meeting place and time.
A special highlight are our photoshootings in Florida where we can meet in Miami & Beaches, Orlando or at the gulf coast - this is only possible on special dates of course.
What will happen during a photo session?Briefly said: Everything is conceivable but everything that doesn't please you is taboo.
We'll meet in a pleasant atmosphere, at your or our home or somewhere else. You can brush or comb your hair, wash it or enjoy to be shampooed by somebody else. If you want your hair cut, colored or permed - that's also possible, but only by a professional hairdresser.
What time does a photoshooting take?About 2 to 4 hours. During this time you or somebody else will wash your hair 2 to 3 times.
And then?We use a quality digital SLR camera and always bring a notebook to our shootings. So you can check all of your pictures immediately after the shooting. You'll get your chance to censor mercilessly - everything you don't like will be removed without any "ifs" or "buts".
Am I allowed to bring somebody to the set?Of course you can bring a person of your confidence (Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Husband,...) On one hand you should feel safe, on the other hand it's easier for most models if a friend is with them. Of course your girlfriend is invited to join you.
Who will be present at the set?At the set there will be only the persons who are necessary for the shooting (You, your person of confidence, the photo team and perhaps a Stylist). There won't be any viewers. No one will grasp or molest you.
Is there a contractual security?Yes, a contract is drawn up between the model and us, which gives both sides security about what will happen with the photos after the shooting (copyrights, rights of exploitation)
What about money?Our shootings are for fun. Money plays only a subordinate role and the sales in the shop just pay our webhosting costs.
Nevertheless we pay a small overall fee to each Model if possible or bear the cost of your attending hairdresser.
Our online shop forces us to run an officially announced business. Therefore we have to advise all our models that fees are to be indicated for their tax declaration.
